The 250t/d gold mine vat leaching EPC general contracting project undertaken by Xinhai Mining is in full swing with final installation work. Blind construction is the biggest risk in gold mine development. An inappropriate process not only wastes resources but also delays the project schedule. As soon as the project kicked off, the client first requested mineral processing tests to understand ore characteristics before proceeding.
Xinhai quickly received 3 surface oxidized ore samples from the client, each weighing 200kg. Collected and transported on-site by the client, these samples truly reflect the actual conditions of the raw ore. The test team wasted no time in conducting a comprehensive analysis to uncover the ore's "true nature":
Multi-element analysis: To determine the content of valuable components and impurities.
Particle size analysis: To calculate the proportion of different particle fractions.
Density measurement: To provide basic data for process design.
Focusing on vat leaching process optimization, the team used tank leaching in the laboratory to simulate on-site vat leaching. They tested leaching effects under different crushing particle sizes, conducted classification tests for low-grade fractions, and accurately calculated key parameters such as vat leaching time, leaching rate, and reagent dosage. Supplementary tests on grinding fineness and leaching reagent selection were also carried out, and even a gravity separation + leaching contingency plan for free gold was prepared.
After a scientific and rigorous test process, a complete technical plan and report were delivered to the client. This not only reassured the client but also directly led to the subsequent general contracting cooperation — professionalism is the most convincing proof!
As an EPC general contracting project, Xinhai takes full responsibility for the entire process from design, equipment production, to on-site installation, eliminating the hassle of the client coordinating with multiple service providers and maximizing efficiency.
In July 2025, all customized equipment was manufactured and smoothly shipped to the Zambia site. In early January 2026, a professional installation team led by Engineer Xiu and Engineer Wang rushed to the site to officially start installation work. Following standard procedures, the team steadily advanced equipment positioning, pipeline connection, and circuit commissioning.
Currently, all core equipment has been installed, and final preparations for commissioning with materials are underway — only the electrolytic cell steel structure remains to be fabricated and installed. On-site material transportation is being advanced in collaboration with the client, covering a distance of 600-700 meters. With close cooperation between both parties, the transportation work has proceeded efficiently without delaying the schedule. At this pace, after completing the final finishing work, the project will soon enter the commissioning phase and achieve early commercial operation to generate returns!
