Tanzania is emerging as one of Africa's top gold producers, with deposits found throughout the Lake Victoria Goldfields, the Tanzanian Shield, and the Mozambique Belt. The gold there comes in all sorts—from easy-to-process alluvial stuff to tricky sulfide and oxide ores, usually with finely scattered gold and grades that go up and down. This kind of variety really needs solid tech and a well-coordinated approach that covers ore analysis right through to gold extraction.

Doing well with gold mining in Tanzania isn't just about having the right machines; you need a reliable partner who can handle the complete engineering, procurement, construction, and management—EPCM, basically—plus make their own processing gear in-house. That's precisely what Xinhai Mining is good at. We're a one-stop provider focused on EPC services for mining and mineral processing, offering complete solutions that address the specific geological and day-to-day challenges of gold projects in Tanzania.

This EPC+M+O project involved processing a blend of sulfide ore (10.7 g/t Au) and oxide ore (2.4 g/t Au). Given that gold was the sole economic element, Xinhai implemented an all-slime cyanidation process to maximize recovery. The flowsheet included:
·Open-circuit crushing
·Closed-circuit grinding with cyclone classification
·Cyanide leaching followed by carbon adsorption
·Desorption, electrolysis, and smelting to produce gold bullion
·Tailings thickening and dry stacking
Through meticulous planning and innovative lifting techniques to protect thin-steel equipment, Xinhai achieved leaching rates of 93.75% for sulfide and 91.58% for oxide ores, underscoring our ability to handle dual ore types efficiently.

The ore here contained high-grade gold (mostly below 13 μm), rendering conventional gravity separation ineffective. Xinhai redesigned the existing plant with:
·Two-stage closed-circuit crushing to ≤15mm
·Two-stage closed-circuit grinding to 90% passing 200 mesh, using slurry pumps and cyclones to boost efficiency and cut energy use
·CIP cyanidation after thickening
·Filter press tailings dewatering with water recycling
·Cyanide-free desorption electrolysis and high-frequency smelting
The result was a 91.64% leaching rate and 99.00% carbon adsorption rate, proving that even ultra-fine gold can be recovered profitably with the right technology.

For this quartz vein deposit, Xinhai provided a compact yet practical circuit featuring:
·Two-stage crushing and grinding
·Gravity separation using jigs and shaking tables between grinding stages.
·Eight-stage cyanide leaching and carbon-in-pulp
·High-temperature desorption and smelting
·Filter-pressed tailings (20–25% moisture) for dry stacking and full water recycle
The plant was delivered with shortened construction time, optimized layout, and strict adherence to environmental and safety standards.
Our expertise is not limited to Tanzania. Across the continent, Xinhai has designed and delivered high-performance plants that adapt to local conditions and ore characteristics. For instance, our Gold Processing Plant in Africa portfolio showcases versatile solutions for various African regions, emphasizing energy efficiency, water recycling, and high recoveries.
Similarly, in Zimbabwe—another major gold producer—we have implemented robust processing systems tailored to sulfide and complex ores. Our Zimbabwe Gold Processing Plant projects highlight advanced cyanidation, gravity-flotation combinations, and sustainable tailings management, reinforcing our capability to deliver under diverse regulatory and operational environments.

Full-Cycle Support – We handle everything, from feasibility checks and in-depth engineering to supplying gear, building the site, and even helping during operations.
Our Own Gear Production – Right in our factories, we make stuff like crushers, grinding mills, thickeners, filters, CIP setups, and furnaces for smelting. That way, we keep a tight grip on quality and get things delivered on time.
Tailored Processing Routes – Whether it's full-slime cyanidation, CIP or CIL methods, gravity separation, or a mixed approach, we determine the best route after extensive testing.
Eco-Friendly and Safe Builds – Everything we design focuses on reusing water, dry-stacking tailings, cleaning up cyanide, and adhering strictly to all environmental rules.
Solid Track Record in Tanzania – We've got a good grasp on the local mining rules, the infrastructure limitations, and how the workforce operates there.
If you're gearing up for a brand-new processing plant or want to upgrade what you've already got running in Tanzania, team up with folks who actually know the tech, understand the local scene, and take full responsibility for the entire EPC.
