Having long cultivated the global mining market, Xinhai Mining has officially entered the European market! The 1200t/d lead-fluorite ore project in Italy marks Xinhai's first EPC turnkey project in Europe and brings the total number of countries exporting Xinhai's products and services to 101. CE certification is a mandatory threshold for any mining project in Europe. As a compulsory EU product safety certification, its stringent safety requirements and complex procedures have forced many non-EU enterprises into repeated revisions and project delays. For Xinhai's first CE certification campaign, we invested heavily in studying certification details, focusing on key areas including equipment protection, operating platforms, and electrical safety, and completed full documentation certification. This CE certification can be directly reused for future European projects, saving clients substantial time and costs in navigating the certification process.
All Xinhai equipment and operating platforms are designed and manufactured to meet CE standards. Heavy-duty machinery and rotating components are fitted with yellow finger-proof guards; electrical control panels feature live protection; operating platforms are equipped with compliant guardrails. These measures fundamentally eliminate revision risks and ensure full EU market access compliance throughout the project lifecycle.

European clients impose extremely high requirements on mineral processing performance. The run-of-mine ore in the Italian project was not high-grade, with CaF₂ at 30–32% and PbS at 1–3%, making mineral separation particularly challenging. Rejecting off-the-shelf solutions, Xinhai designed a tailor-made process flow — crushing & screening + gravity separation + desliming + sequential flotation of lead and fluorite + tailings dry stacking — based on professional test reports and decades of fluorite processing experience. Fine-tuned details such as direct grinding for high-grade ore and dedicated processing for external ore ensured the process precisely matched the ore’s characteristics.
The project achieved outstanding results:
·Fluorite concentrate grade: 98.06%, recovery: 68.3%
·Galena concentrate grade: 63.58%, recovery: 96.4%
These results far exceed industry averages, earning high client recognition for both concentrate grade and recovery rate.
European mining imposes strict requirements on equipment safety, corrosion protection, and core components — factors critical to operational safety and long-term maintenance costs. The complete equipment set Xinhai provided for the Italian project fully complies with EU industrial standards. Core drives feature international brands such as Siemens and ABB motors, with energy efficiency meeting EU Directive EC No. 640/2009; bearings are supplied by SKF; slurry pumps, ball mills, and other equipment use Xinhai's proprietary wear-resistant rubber, greatly extending service life.
For corrosion protection, equipment receives a three-coat system in accordance with ISO 12944 C4, with a total dry film thickness of 260 μm — above industry norms — delivering over 15 years of corrosion resistance suitable for Europe’s complex working conditions. Safety protection is comprehensive: rotating component guards, heavy equipment railings, and anti-slip steel grating platforms safeguard the site in all directions.
Facing high labor costs and tight construction schedules in Europe, traditional methods struggle to support rapid commissioning. Xinhai developed a steel-structure modular construction plan: equipment supports and operating platforms are fully prefabricated in the factory and assembled on-site, eliminating on-site reinforcing steel tying and formwork. Construction speed improved by over 50%, and pre-project 3D packing and loading further shortened the timeline.
The client commented, "Modular construction is extremely efficient. We started production much earlier than expected, and labor costs were greatly reduced."
In line with EU environmental and intelligent trends, the project features a full-circuit water recycling system, with process water reused in a closed loop and zero discharge. Tailings are dry-stacked and directly backfilled, minimizing environmental risks at the source.
A full-process automated control system using the Siemens S7-1500 PLC covers crushing, grinding, flotation, and all other stages. It enables automatic process adjustment, interlock fault protection, and data visualization, greatly reducing manual intervention and stabilizing process performance.
