Project Cooperation Process

The project began with an official inquiry in September 2017. The Mongolian client visited our company just one month later to discuss project scale, production targets, and site conditions. From September 2017 to June 2018, we signed a mineral processing test contract. The client provided ore samples, and our technical team carried out systematic test research to lay a solid foundation for process optimization.

In June 2018, our design team traveled to Mongolia with the client to conduct on-site surveys and finalize the plant location. We signed the detailed engineering design contract in July 2018 and the equipment supply contract in August 2018. The full design was completed in January 2019, and construction drawings were formally delivered in February. Civil construction started in late April 2019. In May, we signed the installation and commissioning contract, with all equipment fully manufactured. Equipment shipment began in late June and early July, proceeding strictly according to schedule.

The client had evaluated multiple competitors and completed extensive preliminary research. Xinhai succeeded because we did not rely on generic process designs. We optimized the flowsheet based on actual ore properties, filled key gaps overlooked in earlier studies, and improved process logic, equipment matching, operational stability and economic performance. Project Scale and Core Process

Located in Mongolia, this project is designed for 3,500 tonnes per day of iron ore with a feed particle size ≤800 mm. It applies a mature and reliable process: three-stage closed-circuit crushing and screening + stage grinding + stage magnetic separation. The system features stable performance, easy maintenance and strong investment returns.

Crushing System: Primary crushing uses a PE1200×1500 jaw crusher. Secondary and tertiary crushing adopts cost-effective domestic cone crushers: one PYYZ300 cone crusher for secondary crushing and one PYY500 cone crusher for tertiary crushing, supported by one 2YK3075 double-deck heavy-duty circular vibrating screen.

Grinding & Magnetic Separation: Stage grinding and stage magnetic separation are applied. One MQGg3650 grate ball mill is used for primary grinding, and two MQYg3650 overflow ball mills for secondary and tertiary grinding. CTB series magnetic separators ensure high concentrate grade and recovery.

Classification: Hydrocyclone groups are used for their large capacity, small footprint and low cost.

Dewatering System: Disc vacuum filters are used for concentrate dewatering. Tailings are treated through thickeners, hydrocyclones, dewatering screens, and filter presses to achieve dry stacking and effective water recycling.
