Infrastructure is the first critical step in underground mine development. Compliance, safe operation, and stable production all depend on solid infrastructure construction.
Xinhai Mining provides professional underground mining infrastructure services. We do not provide fragmented construction or single roadway excavation. Centered on the six essential production systems and six safety systems required for mine commissioning, we deliver one-stop solutions from design, excavation and installation to commissioning. The completed infrastructure is ready for operation and passes acceptance smoothly.
An underground mine cannot operate simply by excavating roadways. A complete operational system is mandatory by regulation.
In strict accordance with international and domestic standards, Xinhai implements six core production systems, all indispensable: hoisting & transportation, ventilation, power supply, compressed air supply, drainage, and water supply.

1. Hoisting & Transportation: Configured by mining depth, with hoists, cages, skips, rails, and belts working together for vertical and horizontal material movement.
2. Ventilation: Centered on main fans, air shafts, and air ducts, supplying fresh air and discharging polluted air to maintain a stable underground working environment.
3. Power Supply: Complete substation, distribution, and cabling, covering power, lighting, monitoring, and communication.
4. Compressed Air Supply: Using air compressors and dedicated pipelines to provide reliable air for drilling, support, equipment operation, and emergency self-rescue.
5. Drainage: Pumps, pipelines, and sumps work jointly to discharge water inflow, prevent water inrush, and keep working faces dry.
6. Water Supply: Integrated pipe network for production, domestic use, fire control, dust suppression, and construction.
These six systems are mandatory for formal mining operations and form the core scope of our infrastructure construction.
Mine safety standards have been comprehensively upgraded in the past decade. Safety systems not required in early mines are now mandatory.
Xinhai follows the latest industry regulations and fully implements six safety systems: monitoring & control, personnel positioning, emergency refuge, compressed air rescue, water supply rescue, and communication.
1. Monitoring & Control: Real-time tracking of gas, CO, air speed, temperature, dust, water level, and ground pressure, with instant alarms for abnormalities.
2. Personnel Positioning: Accurate tracking of location, trajectory, and status, enabling rapid emergency rescue.
3. Emergency Refuge: Equipped with refuge chambers, rescue cabins, and self-rescuers to provide an enclosed safe space in disasters.

4. Compressed Air Rescue: Supplies fresh air in emergencies to support breathing and dilute toxic gases.
5. Water Supply Rescue: Provides emergency water, dust suppression, cooling, and fire control for lifesaving support.
6. Communication: Full wired and wireless coverage for smooth daily dispatch and direct emergency contact with surface control.
The two sets of systems are designed, constructed, and commissioned simultaneously. This is a key distinction from ordinary contractors and is critical to smooth safety acceptance for clients.
The mine development method directly affects the construction period, safety, and total investment. Wrong choices lead to high retrofitting costs. Xinhai adopts the globally mature and universal solution: ramp + shaft combined development, which offers higher safety, smoother transportation, and more stable commissioning.

A ramp serves as the underground main artery for personnel, vehicles, and equipment access.
Our ramp construction includes two parts: the main ramp full-face excavation, and level development supporting works such as sectional roadways, ore-drawing crosscuts, and connecting raises.
Ramp construction is difficult and slow; an average daily advance of 4 meters is excellent. Xinhai’s team steadily achieves 2–4 meters per day, ranking among the industry’s top tier.
Take our Red Gold Mine Project in Zimbabwe as an example: the total designed ramp length is about 2,500 meters. Construction is progressing steadily, with only about 300 meters left to the key control node of Level 1, and the overall schedule is fully controllable.

Shafts are vertical excavations strictly divided into three functional types:
Main Shaft: Dedicated to ore hoisting, the core channel for mine output.
Auxiliary Shaft: Transports personnel, materials, and equipment; may also serve as an air intake shaft to ensure underground safety.
Air Shaft: Dedicated to ventilation and air exhaust; a mandatory facility for all mines.
We strictly enforce safety rules: air intake shafts shall NEVER be used as main ore hoisting shafts. Mixed use would cause more dust to pollute the fresh air and endanger underground safety. We control this strictly in design and construction to eliminate hidden risks.
Project Case: Zhangjiakou Project
We apply this mature solution to the Zhangjiakou Mine Project in China. More than 110 on-site personnel work simultaneously on multiple tasks. 430 meters of ramp excavation have been completed, with auxiliary shaft and air shaft under synchronous construction. The project progresses steadily and is expected to enter formal mining in 3 years, laying a solid foundation for future production.

Mine construction must comply with regulations as the bottom line. We do not undertake any unapproved or illegal projects. All ramp, shaft, roadway, and system construction starts only after obtaining official government approvals. We strictly implement work scope by approved items and progress phase by phase, without over-range construction, unauthorized operation, or safety violations.
We have a mature on-site management system, a stable technical team, and an experienced construction crew to efficiently handle on-site issues. Equipment is configured flexibly by project scale: small projects mainly use rented equipment to control costs; large projects deploy our own complete equipment to ensure efficiency and continuous operation, achieving full control over schedule, quality, safety, and cost.
Each procedure, from roadway excavation, system installation, and pipeline laying to equipment commissioning, undergoes strict inspection. Unqualified procedures are not allowed to proceed to the next phase. The final deliverables comply with domestic mine construction codes and meet regulatory and acceptance requirements of overseas host countries.

Underground mining infrastructure allows no compromise. A one-meter shortage, a missing system, or a compliance gap can affect commissioning and safety. Xinhai adheres to compliance as a premise, safety as a bottom line, and efficiency as a goal. We reject superficial, formalistic construction and never omit critical steps.
Six production systems lay a solid foundation for commissioning; six safety systems uphold operational bottom lines; ramp + shaft combined development ensures construction efficiency; practical projects continuously verify delivery capability.
In the future, Xinhai will continue to focus on underground mining infrastructure, upgrade technology, optimize management, and improve the service closed loop, providing global mine clients with more professional, reliable, and worry-free one-stop solutions.
We implement the same standards, quality, and services for both domestic and overseas projects. We build every roadway well, complete every system fully, and deliver every reliable project, helping clients achieve fast, compliant commissioning and long-term stable returns.
